a weekend in Budapest

Hahó mindenki, visszatértem Szegedre egy nagyon jó pesti hétvége után. Munka után indultunk Évivel és egy felejthetetlen 35 fokos , 2.5 órás vonatút után már Pesten is voltunk. Orsi barátnőnk vacsorával várt minket és később egy másik volt osztálytárunk Anna is megérkezett. Előkerült a jó otthoni bor, a házi pálinka, a rengeteg mesélni való és gimis emlék. A buli az Instantba sodort minket, ami a kis szegedi szórakozóhelyek után igazi felüdülés volt. Az sem zavart minket, hogy állandóan eltévedtünk :D Fél6-kor sikerült ágyba bújni úgyhogy másnap 1-ig fel sem keltünk. Egy kiadós reggeli után pesti körútra indultunk és bevettük a Halászbástyát. Párszor már voltam, de a kilátás még mindig eszméletlen szép :) Este együtt főztünk majd kicsit nehézkesen és fáradtan, de újra bulizni indultunk. Úgy döntöttünk gyalog megyünk, ami jót is tett, mert feléledtünk mire megint az Instantba értünk. Nem voltunk valami kreatívak, ami a bulihelyeket illeti :D A késői indulás miatt megint hosszúra nyúlt az este, de azért arra volt időnk, hogy a Király utca legfinomabb és legolcsóbb pizzásánál egy szeletet megegyünk :) Vasárnap már korábban (11-kor:D) felkeltünk, mert tudtuk, hogy aznap haza kell menni és azért még egy kis városnézést szerettünk volna beiktatni. Az idő velünk volt, vagy inkább ellenünk, nem is tudom eldönteni. Igaz, hogy eső nem volt, de 38 fok igen, úgyhogy benti programmal indítottunk. Frei Tamás légkondis kávézójában kipróbáltuk az etióp jégkaramellás gyömbér-lattét. Ha ittatok már finomat, és az ára sem vészes, a Starbucksban szinte minden drágább mint ez volt és mennyiségre hasonlók. Miután a koffein megtette hatását a nyakunkba vettük a várost és végül a Dunán kötöttünk ki, ahol mindössze egy vonaljegy áráért fél órás hajóutat tettünk. Biztos menni fogok még ha lesz alkalmam, mert nagyon szép a város ebből a szemszögből is :) Nos, ami a képeket illeti mind telefonnal készültek, mert egy kis gond volt a gépemmel, úgyhogy a minőségért előre is bocsi, de szerintem a hangulatot azért visszaadják :) Remélem nektek is jól telt a hétvége! Én nagyon élveztem, jó volt végre régi barátokkal találkozni, el sem hiszem, hogy már 8 éve volt, hogy együtt kezdtük a gimit!

Hello there, I'm back in Szeged after a great weekend in Budapest. We left with Évi after work on friday and after "only" 2.5 hours and a 35 degree train ride, we arrived. Orsi prepared dinner for us and later on another high school friend, Anna came over too. Soon there was good wine and home made pálinka on the table and we couldn't stop sharing memories and new stories with each other. The night brought us to a place called Instant which was a real treat after all the small places in Szeged. We weren't even bothered when we lost our way inside again and again :D We got to bed at 5:30 so no one was up until 1 pm. After a hearty breakfast we went into town and conquered the Fisherman's Bastion. Although I've been there a couple of times I still find the view amazing :) We cooked dinner together in the evening and even tough we were tired we slowly managed to leave the house to find a new party. We decided to walk into town which seemed to be a good idea. It totally woke us up by the time we reached Instant again. You can't say we were really creative party place wise :D Since we left pretty late, our night turned out to be as long as the one before but we still had time to eat a pizza slice at Király Street's cheapest but best pizzeria :) We got up earlier on sunday (at 11 :D) because we knew we have to leave but wanted to do some more sightseeing before heading home. The weather was on our side or against us, I can't really decide. Even tough there was no rain we got a decent 38 degrees so we decided to start with some indoor activity. We went to a nice air conditioned coffee shop and tried ethiopian ginger caramel ice-latte. It was the best coffee I've ever tried and I don't think it was expensive at all. You get the same amount in Starbucks for more money. After the caffeine kicked in, we were in town again and ended up on the river Danube. For only the prise of a local bus ticket we got to sail 30 minutes. I'm gonna try it again in the future cos the city is really amazing from this point of view too :) Well about the pictures. They were all taken with a phone cos there was a little problem with my camera, so sorry for the quality in advance. I still think they show how great time we had :) I hope you guys had a nice weekend too! I liked mine so much, it was great to meet up with old friends, can't believe it was already 8 years ago when we started high school together!
