Christmas market tour

11/26/2011

I will now show you around in the Xmas market  in my city Szeged :)

Kezdjük akkor az egyik végén, én a Széchenyi tér felől mentem. Odaérve rögtön meglátjuk a szupi jégkori pályát, én nagyon örültem neki, mert imádok korizni :) /Let's start in one end, I approached it from the Széchenyi square . Arriving there you can immidiately see the cool ice skating ring which I'm really happy for cos I love to skate :)

A forgatag sűrűjébe érve sok finomságot találunk, van itt minden mi szem szájnak ingere. Sok meleg holmira is szert tehetünk vagy beszerezhetjük a karácsonyfadíszeinket. De ami a legeslegjobb, rengeteg a csábító nyalánkság :)/ Getting in the middle of it, we find a lot of delicious things. We can also purchase a lot of warm clothes or our decorations to the xmas tree. But the best of all is that there are tons of sweets :)

Ahogy haladunk a Kárász utca felé feltűnnek a hívogató fények. /As we get closer to the Kárász street( the walking street) inviting lights are cathing our eyes. I think the decoration this year turned out to be really nice :) And if you have really good eyes you can spot the place among the crowd where you can buy roasted chestnuts!

A Kárász utcán a fényeken kívül megnézhetjük a hatalmas karácsonyfát is. /Besides the decorations we can also take a look at the huge Xmas tree on Kárász street.

When we checked out everything we can head straigth to the Dugonics square where the delicious mulled wine is waiting for us. There are not that many decorations here yet but I'm sure as the holiday is getting closer they will put up more things.(personally I like the mulled wine here the best, but the place where I tried it last year hasn't been set up yet)

A Dóm gyönyörű, mint mindig, a tűznél melegedve csodás látványt nyújt:)/Only thing missing is the last destination, the Dóm square. It only takes 2 minutes from the Dugonics square so you won't get out from the xmas  mood :) The whole atmosphere is very intimate, a fun straw bale labirinth is waiting for the children and if someone wants to get some warm they are welcome to go in to the yurt set up in the middle of the square. Plus you can listen to some music in there. They didn't cut corner with the delicious things here either, you can get roasted "kolbász" and "brassói"(hungarian speciality again, check here and here)but if someone also wants something for home I will definitely recommend the home made cheese or the big hams and kolbász :) Of course we can find another place selling mulled wine (not to be missed:)) and I also found a place where you can buy "fröccs" (it's a drink where you mix wine and sparkled water) The Dóm (church) is beautiful as always and standing by the warm fire it is a stunning sight:)

Mi is ittunk egyet C-vel:)/We also drank one with C :)

Remélem tetszett a kis túra és kedvet kaptatok ti is elnézni! :) Hazafelé menet még a Belvárosi Híd is karácsonyi fényekben pompázott :) Szép hétvégét mindenkinek! <3

I hope you liked my little tour and that you might got in the mood to check it out! :) On the way home even the Downtown Bridge was shining from the Xmas lights:) Have a nice evening everyone! <3
