Pom-Pom Wreath

Idén arra gondoltam, hogy nem karácsonyi dekorációt készítek, hanem egyszerűen téli díszekbe öltöztetem a lakást, így az ünnepek elteltével nem kell mindent egyből leszednem, hanem akár február végéig fent hagyhatom őket. Ez a koszorú ötlet egyből eszembe juttatta az általános iskolás éveket, amikor tonnaszámra gyártottuk az ilyesmi pompomokat a technika órán. Emlékeim között halványan még élt, hogy nem volt ez túl nagy ördöngösség, úgyhogy gyorsan beszereztem minden alapanyagot és egy délután alatt, sorozatnézés közben el is készítettem az első téli dekorációt otthonra.
I was thinking that this year i won't make any Christmas decorations, but put up some winter decor instead, so i won't have to take everything down as the holidays are over. This wreath idea instantly reminded me of my school years, where we used to make tons of pom-poms like this in arts and crafts class. I vaguely remembered that they weren't too hard to make, so i got up and bought everything i needed for it, and created my first winter decoration one afternoon, while watching Netflix.

koszorúalap - wreath base
vastag fonal - thick yarn
madzag - twine
kartonpapír - cardboard
Vágjunk ki két különböző nagyságú "fánkot" kartonpapírból, majd tekerjük körbe a fonallal. Ha igazán bolyhos pompomokat szeretnénk, kétszer is körbetekerhetjük a papírt.
Cut out two "donuts" from the cardboard and wrap the yarn around it. If you want to get the pom-poms really fluffy, wrap the yarn twice around the carrdboard.
Mikor készen vagyunk, vágjuk szét a fonalat a kartonpapír széle mentén. Ekkor a fonal szétugrik, úgyhogy ne féljetek, hogy lecsúszik a formáról. Egy ugyanolyan színű fonallal kössük át a pompom közepét jó szorosan a kartonpapír-lyuk közelében, hogy, amikor levesszük a papírról, ne essen szét. Ezután már csak annyi dolgunk van, hogy a papír közepén levő lyukon kihúzzuk a pompomot.
When you're done, cut the yarn alongside the cardboard's edge. The yarn will form the pom-pom at this stage, so don't be afraid that it will slip off the cardboard. Tie the pom-pom at it's middle with the same coloured yarn, right at the cardboard hole, so it doesn't fall apart when you slide it out of the cardboard hole.
Ahelyett, hogy ragasztanánk a pompomokat, kössük őket madzaggal a koszorú alapra, így később is könnyen tudjuk őket mozgatni. Én egy nagyobbal kezdem, körberaktam kisebbekkel és végül is össze-vissza kötögettem őket, úgy, ahogy éppen jónak láttam. Szerintem nincs szükség semmilyen minta követésére, ettől lesz mindenki koszorúja egyedi és különleges :)
Instead of gluing them to the wreath base, tie them to it, so they'll be easily movable later. I started with a bigger pom-pom and surrounded it with smaller ones and basically tied them whrever they looked good to me. I don't think you should follow a pattern here, this will make everyone's wreath unique and special :)
